The composite drainage network is composed of several components

In modern civil engineering and infrastructure construction, drainage system is very important. Composite drainage network has very good drainage performance, high strength and durability, and is commonly used in roads, railways, tunnels, water conservancy projects and landfills. So, how many components is it made up of?

The composite drainage net is composed of three core components: plastic mesh core, water-permeable geotextile and an adhesive layer connecting the two. These three components work together to ensure efficient drainage, high strength and durability of the composite drainage network.

1、Plastic mesh core

(1)The plastic mesh core is the main structural support of the composite drainage net, which is made of high-density polyethylene ( HDPE) Equal high strength plastic materials are made by a special extrusion molding process. It has a unique three-dimensional structure, which is formed by cross-arranging vertical and horizontal ribs. These ribs not only have high rigidity and can form an effective drainage channel, but also support each other to prevent the geotextile from being embedded in the drainage channel, ensuring the stability and drainage performance of the drainage net under high load.

(2)There are various designs of plastic mesh core, including two-dimensional mesh core and three-dimensional mesh core. The two-dimensional mesh core is composed of a drainage mesh core with a two-rib structure, while the three-dimensional mesh core contains three or more ribs, which form a more complex structure in space, providing higher drainage capacity and compressive strength. Especially the three-dimensional composite drainage network, its unique structure can quickly discharge the groundwater of the road and block the capillary water under high load, which plays a role in isolation and foundation reinforcement.

2、Water permeable geotextile

(1)Water-permeable geotextile is another important part of composite drainage net, which is generally closely bonded to both sides or one side of plastic mesh core through thermal bonding process. Water-permeable geotextile is made of needle-punched non-woven geotextile, which has very good water permeability and anti-filtration performance. Its ability to prevent soil particles and fine impurities from entering the drainage channel, it also allows moisture to pass freely, ensuring an unimpeded drainage system.

(2)The selection of water-permeable geotextile has an important influence on the performance of composite drainage net. High-quality water-permeable geotextile not only has good apparent pore size, water permeability and permeability, but also has high puncture strength, trapezoidal tear strength and grip tensile strength, so as to ensure that it can resist various external forces and environmental erosion in long-term use.

3、Adhesive layer

(1)The adhesive layer is the key part to connect the plastic mesh core and the water-permeable geotextile. It is made of special thermoplastic materials. Through the hot bonding process, the adhesive layer can firmly combine the plastic mesh core and the water-permeable geotextile to form a composite drainage net with an integral structure. This structure not only ensures the stability and durability of the drainage net, but also makes its installation and laying more convenient and faster.

(2)The performance of the adhesive layer has an important influence on the drainage efficiency and anti-aging ability of the composite drainage net. The high-quality adhesive layer can ensure that the drainage net will not delaminate or fall off during long-term use, and can ensure the continuity and stability of the drainage system.

As can be seen from the above, the composite drainage net is composed of three components: plastic mesh core, water-permeable geotextile and adhesive layer. These components work together to ensure efficient drainage, high strength and durability of the composite drainage net.
