Consideration of Quality and Standards:Prioritize geomembranes that comply with national standards (e.g., GB/T 17643-2011) or urban construction standards (e.g., CJ/T 234-2006) to ensure that properties such as anti-seepage capability, tensile strength, and corrosion resistance meet the required benchmarks.
Avoid using geomembranes manufactured from recycled materials; instead, prioritize those made from 100% virgin materials to guarantee product longevity and safety.
Thickness s the critical indicator for anti-seepage effectiveness and durability. Material that is too thin is prone to tearing, while material that is too thick results in unnecessary cost waste; therefore, the thickness must be selected precisely based on the specific breeding application:
Aquaculture Ponds Small, Shallow Ponds (Water depth ≤ 1.2m) and Nursery Ponds: Select 0.5–0.75mm.
Standard Fish Ponds and Shrimp Ponds (Water depth 1.2–2.5m): Select 1.0–1.5mm for the best cost-performance ratio.
Deep-Water Ponds (Water depth ≥ 2.5m) and Specialized Breeding Facilities (e.g., soft-shelled turtles, crayfish): Select 1.5–2.0mm for enhanced puncture resistance.
Livestock and Poultry Waste/Manure Pits and Biogas Digesters Given the highly corrosive environment and susceptibility to impact from hard objects, a minimum thickness of 1.0mm is mandatory; a thickened version of 1.5mm is highly recommended.
Water Reservoirs and Irrigation Canals For water depths < 2m, select 0.5–0.75mm; for water depths between 2m and 4m, select 0.75–1.0mm; for large-scale reservoirs, select 1.5mm or thicker.
